An Omaha man has been sentenced to six years in prison for receiving and distributing child pornography. Lawrence Pleiss will continue to pay for his crime once he serves the prison sentence. The judge ordered him to undergo a lifetime of supervised released.
The 48-year-old Pleiss was arrested last summer after the Nebraska State Patrol and the FBI Cyber Crimes Task Force served a search warrant on his home. Investigators found more than 60 videos of child porn on his hard drives plus another 12,000 images of child erotica.
Judge Joseph F. Bataillon issued the sentence in federal court Monday.
