A 41-year-old Columbus, Nebraska man has been ordered to serve an 8-year sentence for possessing and distributing child pornography.
The U.S. Attorney says Edward J. Johnson sent images of child pornography to an undercover officer with the Nebraska State Patrol who was posing as a teenage girl. The two engaged in online chatting during the summer of 2013.
When a search warrant was served on his home, he admitted to sending the images. A forensic review of his computer revealed 200 videos of child pornography which included bondage and prepubescent children involved in a variety of sexual acts with adults and other children.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. For more information about the initiative, CLICK HERE.
