After eluding authorities for nearly 24 hours, the suspect in a police pursuit has turned himself in.
The Saunders County Sheriff’s Department says authorities were following the driver on State Highway 109 about five miles north of Wahoo when he crashed late Wednesday night. He managed to get out of the car and run away.
The Omaha police helicopter and several Nebraska State Patrol units were called out to help with the search, but authorities were not able to locate the suspect.
Just after 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Channel 6 News received word that the suspect had turned himself in. His name has not yet been released.
