Chase, Crash Aftermath: Two Arrested, Gun, Drugs Found

Two people were arrested Wednesday afternoon trying to flee the scene of an accident.

Police spotted a wanted suspect at 28th and Pratt in Omaha around 4:45 p.m. When officers tried to make a traffic stop at 36th Street and Paxton Boulevard, the vehicle took off causing an accident at 60th Street and Northwest Radial Highway.

Twenty-two-year-old Jake Scripter was booked for flight to avoid arrest, possession of a gun by a prohibited person, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, willful reckless driving and obstructing an officer.

Eighteen-year-old Kolina Copeland was booked for felony warrants.
