Prosecutors have dropped a charge against a man suspected of stabbing another man during a dispute at a Lincoln homeless camp last fall.
Police believe 53-year-old Kester Hipshire Jr. intervened in an argument on Oct, 16 between a boyfriend and girlfriend who were living at the tent camp.
Hipshire was accused of stabbing the man in his back, forearm and finger.
Lancaster County Attorney Joe Kelly said there was insufficient
evidence to obtain a conviction of Hipshire, citing self-defense.
