One of six suspects arrested for their alleged roles in the shooting death of five-year-old Payton Benson has had his charges dropped and been released from jail.
Shaun Murph, Jr. was released from jail last week after his charges were dropped in April.
Initially, Murph faced felony weapons charges. District Court Judge Marlon Polk ruled that there was insufficient evidence to support the county court's finding of probable cause.
Vincent Hicks, Jaylen Montgomery, Adonus Moses, Jacob Brown and Kevin Peak all face charges related to the murder and shooting.
Police say the 20-year-old Hicks fired the bullet that killed Benson.
Benson was eating breakfast when she was killed by a stray bullet that went inside her home near 45th & Bedford on January 15th.
