After being bombarded by gusty winds over the past few days, the Heartland is finally catching a well-deserved break.
Wednesday's winds were in the 8-15 MPH range, a far cry from the winds we experienced on Monday and Tuesday. Monday featured wind gusts as high as 36 MPH only to be eclipsed by 44 MPH winds on Tuesday.
But the strong low pressure system that produced the rain and wind earlier this week has now taken up residence around the Great Lakes, allowing our winds to relax today.
As for the rest of the week, expect winds typically from 5-15 MPH.
