A Lincoln man is facing charges after police say he assaulted a resident with a mental disability at a care facility. Nineteen-year-old Phenix Killen was arrested Thursday night for abuse of a vulnerable adult.
Police say Killen, who worked at an Integrated Life Choices facility near 68th Street and Normal Boulevard, was hit by the 25-year-old. When the man tried to hit Killen again Killen allegedly grabbed the resident, threw him to the floor and punched him twice.
Killen, a self-proclaimed ex-boxer, told staff members the resident had fallen.
