Early morning accident reported from emergency room .
Cass County sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Highway 75, just north of the intersection of Highway 66 about 6am on Labor Day. Sheriff Wm. C Brueggemann said emergency room personnel at Bergan Mercy in Omaha advised Tracey A. Colgrove, age 37, Omaha, was at the hospital and informed them that he had been involved in the accident. Investigation indicated a northbound vehicle crossed the centerline, entered the west ditch, rolled several times down the embankment and came to rest on its top.
Colgrove stated he swerved to miss a deer and lost control of his vehicle which caused him to leave the roadway. After the accident Colgrove walked to a relative’s residence in Plattsmouth and was transported by private vehicle.
