Two drivers are lucky to escape injury after a crash sent one of them spinning into a house Saturday morning.
It happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of North 26th Street and Avenue B in Council Bluffs.
According to the driver of a Jeep headed south on 26th, he'd stopped for a stop sign and proceeded ahead. He told Channel 6 News he didn't see the other car coming from the west and broadsided it.
"We kind of met in the middle," said Jolena Shamblen, driver of the car that was hit. Her car then spun, hitting a house on the corner. It was divided up into rental units, but nobody was home.
Neither driver was hurt. "We're walking, we're talking, we have no broken bones and we're not bleeding," Shamblen said. And the house? “Well, I'm not going to worry about the house.”
