A Lincoln homeowner was in bed Thursday night when he heard a loud crash and felt his house shake, then discovered a car had hit the residence.
It happened near South 40th Street and Sheridan Boulevard just after 10 p.m. The vehicle then caught fire with the driver still inside. The homeowner pulled him from the wreck. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of a broken nose and other injuries.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
The porch caught fire and was quickly extinguished by Lincoln Fire & Rescue.
