A Nebraska family recently decided to use Christmas as a way to pay it forward. The Krumland family from Eagle delivered dozens of toys to the Lied Transplant Center -- the place where 2-year-old Kipton received care for his leukemia.
"So many people have done so much for Kipton that I wanted to be able to give back," said Kipton's mother Erin.
A year ago, Kipton needed a bone marrow transplant.

"Kipton spent so much time in the hospital and when you are here it is monotonous," said Erin. "When you have the same toys to play with over and over again - they become old."
Just before Christmas -- the family decided to sell some of his older toys, collect donations and buy new toys for those who also need help at the Lied Transplant Center.
"Just seeing him after his transplant - seeing pictures - you could tell that he wasn't feeling kid," said Dave Krumland, father of Kipton. "He looks like a totally different kid."
For the family, it's a way to thank the caregivers since a stranger donated the bone marrow.
"She was a 25-year-old female," said his mother. "Her blood runs through his body. It's not ours anymore. It makes me wonder how cancer affected her life. I can't wait to meet her. I hope we get the opportunity."
