A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for eastern Gage, Johnson and northwestern Pawnee counties in Nebraska until 2:45 p.m. A tornado watch is in effect for parts of southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa until 10 p.m. Sunday.
Omaha police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man found dead inside a burning garage adjacent to an abandoned house last month.
Firefighters discovered the body on August 30th after the fire was extinguished. The body was burned beyond recognition.
Police say the man was about 5-feet-5 and weighed around 140 pounds. He had three gold inlays and a gold crown on his teeth and appeared to have facial hair. Police released a photo Thursday of a ring and watch found on the victim’s body.
