Two men wanted in California for murder were arrested Friday night in Nebraska City.
Otoe County Attorney David Partsch said 25-year-old Edward Anauo and 21-year-old Jules Carrillo were taken into custody at a residence around 7:30 p.m.
Roseville, California police had issued arrest warrants for the two men and a woman earlier in the day in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old Roseville man last year. California authorities, believing the men were in Nebraska, contacted Nebraska City police asking them to investigate a tip that the fugitives were at the house.
The two suspects will appear in Otoe County Court Monday morning to begin the process of extradition back to California. The third suspect, Laura Kenner, was also arrested Friday in New Mexico.
