CWS National Anthem Performers Announced

The NCAA has selected 17 finalists from Nebraska, Iowa, and North Dakota to perform the national anthem during this year’s College World Series in Omaha. Three of the finalists will have to keep their fingers crossed for now because they are scheduled to perform before an “if necessary” game.

The performers were selected after live auditions were held April 26. More than 100 vocalists and musicians from nine states applied.

Here is the scheduled for the performers:

June 14 at 2 p.m., Creighton Prep Chamber Choir
June 14 at 7 p.m., Local Omaha Trio
June 15 at 2 p.m., Voices of Boys Town
June 15 at 7 p.m., Nate Simons on saxophone
June 16 at 2 p.m., Collin Wyler
June 16 at 7 p.m., Boomers
June 17 at 2 p.m., Pflug Family Singers
June 17 at 7 p.m., Emma Scheel
June 18 at 7 p.m., DeJa Blu
June 19 at 7 p.m., Hannah Goebel
June 20 at 2 p.m., Nickolas Fleissner
June 20 at 7 p.m., Mark Lindquist
June 21 at 2 p.m., Jeff James on trombone (game if necessary)
June 21 at 7 p.m., The Littles (game if necessary)
June 23 at 7 p.m., U.S Air Force Heartland of American Band vocalist Tech Sgt. Ken Maxwell
June 24 at 7 p.m., Drew Duncan
June 25 at 7 p.m., Joan’s Boys (game if necessary)
