A Des Moines school bus driver has died after being stricken while picking up children Wednesday morning
The bus was stopped at the corner of Southeast 20th Street and East King Avenue in Des Moines just after 7am when the 55-year-old man suffered a medical emergency.
Officers say children left through the back door of the bus and climbed into another bus while a parent who was at the bus stop with his or her children performed chest compressions on Arthur Lubbert.
Lubbert was pronounced dead at a hospital.
