Two burglars broke into a west Omaha bar and grill at night. But the manager and police are not left in the dark on identifying the thieves.
Rusty Nail Bar manager James Walsh said it appeared the burglars tried to disable the security camera system. Walsh said, “They bust up a piece of equipment completely unrelated to the cameras.”
The pair of crooks wore hoodies and masks. But one of them looks toward a camera and his face is partially revealed. Walsh said, "They had figured they had gotten the video but they hadn’t. We got a lot of good video. The majority of our losses were destruction of property.”
The burglars broke into a video game and took about $20. They rummaged through several coolers causing some spoilage. The owner of the Rusty Nail near 144th and Pacific has added an alarm system.
It’s believed the same pair of burglars hit a nearby tobacco store. The burglars may have a lookout because they spent about a half hour in the bar before moving on.
The burglaries happened about 5am Sunday morning.
