Two Omaha neighborhoods are hit twice in the same day by residential burglaries. In both cases neighbors heard or saw something suspicious.

The victim of a burglary in Morton Meadows in midtown Omaha believes her neighbor was lucky he was home. She asked us not to use her name, but told us what he recalled.

"He heard something and looked out the window. There was a man he didn't recognize walking, but he didn't notice any cars. A few minutes later he heard a bang."

That "bang" was her back door being kicked in. Residents in the area east of Creighton Prep were also two-time victims this week. One neighbor reported seeing a white van with no license plates leaving the scene.
