Those who knew him said Dion was a caring, intelligent person who was passionate about his job.
With tears in their eyes, Cops television executives explained how 38 year-old Bryce Dion gave 100 percent, day in and day out.
Executive producer Morgan Langley said, "Just promoted this year, very talented, very dedicated to his job. It's hard for me. I hired him, so it's hard for me to talk about."
Seven years working on the Cops television show, Dion had recently been promoted to audio supervisor.
"He did something that he loved and was passionate about," said Langley.
When working, he was out with officers, doing ride-alongs, seeing police take down the bad guys.
Police Chief Todd Schmaderer said, "Just as the officers face the dangers of policing with honors, courage, and integrity, so do the production crew of Cops."
Today those closest to Dion told us more about him.
Kimm Tremblay said, "He's a wonderful person, a real spark of energy and he would light up a room when he came into it. Just positive energy, kind and smart and funny and just a really caring person."
Friends say he knew the dangers of the job but it doesn't make dealing with his death any easier.
