The Bryant Center in North Omaha is getting a makeover after winning a national contest.
Wednesday morning the "Scrubbing Bubbles" crew showed up. They worked to clean and renovate the basketball court and concession stand.
The Bryant Center was one of nine non-profits to be chosen out of more than a thousand entries. Then it was up to the public to vote for the top four.
Executive Director, Mike Rice, said it was all thanks to the community that they were able to win. "We had to have the public vote for us. Fortunately the community and everyone that we are associated with voted in the time frame and we actually did it."
The goal of the center is to get kids off the streets and involved in positive activities. One of those activities is basketball and now the kids will have a great space to play.
