Rocker Bret Michaels is, once again, pitching in to help those devastated by the tornadoes in Pilger. He's announced plans for a Rock N Relief Concert on Sunday, August 24.
The town of Pilger, Neb. was devastated by a pair of tornadoes on June 16, leaving 75 percent of the town completely destroyed. Michaels, who had been on tour in the area, used his day off a week later to visit Pilger and help in the clean-up efforts.
“When I heard the news of what happened to the folks in Pilger, I immediately wanted to do something to give them a hand in the aftermath of this disaster. I have many friends and family in that area including my sisters, one of which served in the Air Force station at Offutt AFB in Omaha” said Michaels.
Now, he's announced plans for a concert to benefit the continued rebuilding efforts in Pilger. The show will be held August 24 in Norfolk. Tickets go on sale July 25 at 8 a.m. Only 2,000 will be available.
