It was a special weekend for breast cancer survivors in Omaha as Project Pink’d held their first ever Renewal Retreat at the Magnolia Hotel.
Survivors got the chance to participate in all kinds of activities, giving them a chance to have fun and thrive after cancer.
One of the activities was the women got to get their hair and makeup done, then do a photo shoot for a calendar.
Breast cancer survivor Amberly Connolly said, “It means a lot. I don’t think I’ve been this relaxed in years. You know I’ve had a real tough five years and being here just being able to focus on myself is a true gift it’s amazing.”
Project Pink’d is a local nonprofit.
