An Omaha man's car and credit cards were stolen from his driveway near 152nd and Blondo Thursday morning.
Nick Olson says his housemate alerted him after hearing loud noises in their front yard.
"I hear a couple loud bangs, a couple scrapes, and also a wrestling noise that sounded like they were in our bushes. I hopped up and looked and at that time I saw my roommate's car in the middle of the lawn,” said Nate Lindley, Olson's housemate.
The car, a 2012 Suburu Impreza, was stolen from his driveway.
”The person who stole my car ended up backing into my roommate who was parked behind me—backing up into his driver's side fender,” said Olson, damaging his housemate's car.
Olson then realized that his wallet was also in the car. Within two hours, he says he found purchases on his credit cards from gas stations, a fast-food restaurant, and Wal-Mart.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Department says the theft is under investigation.
