Gov. Terry Branstad has named two new judges to the district court bench in Iowa.
Branstad on Monday appointed Joel Dalrymple to the 2nd Judicial District, which covers 22 counties in central and northern Iowa. Dalrymple, of Waterloo, is currently a Black Hawk County assistant attorney. He will fill a vacancy created by the appointment of Judge Thomas Bower to the Iowa Court of Appeals.
Branstad appointed Gregg Rosenbladt as a district judge in the 1st Judicial District, which covers 11 counties in northeast Iowa. Rosenbladt, of Mason City, is currently a district associate judge in the 2nd Judicial District. He will fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Stephen Carroll.
