Lightweight boxing champion Terence Crawford of Omaha will display his title belt publicly for the first time Monday at Miller Park Elementary School.
The 26-year-old won the WBO championship March 1st in Glasgow, Scotland, defeating Ricky Burns by unanimous decision.
During Crawford's anti-bullying tour, he promised students that if he won the world title fight he would return with the title belt so they would know that through hard work and dedication, it is possible to achieve one’s goals and dreams.
Crawford is the first Nebraskan to win a boxing title since Perry "Kid" Graves claimed the welterweight belt in 1914.
