The two suspects linked to the home invasion and murder of Timothy Marzettie appeared in court Tuesday for a bond hearing. The man accused of pulling the trigger, 26-year-old Corleone McCurry, was denied bond.
McCurry is charged with first degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
In court, prosecutors said McCurry broke into Marzettie's home, near North 36th Street and Hartman Avenue, on June 25; Marzettie begged McCurry not to shoot him, but McCurry allegedly shot him once in the chest. It's still unclear what led up to the murder.
A judge set bond at $75,000 for Brown. She will need to post ten percent to get out of jail.
Both Brown and McCurry are scheduled to be back in court on August 6.
