Skeletal remains found in a southwest Nebraska creek have been identified as those of a Cambridge man who'd been missing for about 18 months.

Furnas County authorities say the body was that of 41-year-old Tivis Ferrell. His wife reported him missing about 10 days after he left their home. Authorities say Ferrell committed suicide.

Three juveniles discovered the remains on June 1 while floating on inner tubes from the Medicine Creek Dam to Cambridge.
