Omaha Police have identified a body found by railroad tracks last week as Terry L. Hayek, 50. Foul play is not suspected.
Detectives say Hayek was a known transient.
His body was found near abandoned railroad tracks last Friday afternoon at 16th and Locust.
The body was found around 2:15 p.m. in a field about a half-mile south of Locust Street. Investigators were careful not to walk on tire tracks made by vehicles along the railroad tracks.
