Family members of Thomas Hill say that authorities have recovered a body from the Missouri River near Hamburg, Iowa that is believed to be that of Mr. Hill.
The body was discovered by a boater.
Hill, of Fremont, had been reported missing on April 18.
Authorities believe he jumped off the Bob Kerrey pedestrian bridge. His car was located nearby.
Officials found an ID with the body but are awaiting formal dental record confirmation of his identity.
Mr. Hill’s daughter, Sarah Mahlberg, said she’s thankful for the help of the teams involved in the search and says the family can now get some closure and start the healing process.
