Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge Closes Due To Construction
The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge will be closed starting Thursday. The two-to-three week closing is due to construction that will be taking place on the bridge, 10 hours a day, weekdays only.
The bridge will be open at night and on the weekends, but during hours of construction, no one will be allowed on the bridge for safety reasons.
The span is in the process of getting lights that went out of service days after the bridge opened. It is expected to reopen around Thanksgiving.
