The CenturyLink Center was the place to be Sunday afternoon. With a Creighton basketball game and the Omaha Boat Sports and Travel Show going on at the same time, those in attendance had plenty to keep them occupied.

Two big events, one venue. The Boat Sports and Travel Show kicked off the day at 9 a.m. The Bluejays and Xavier tipped off at 2 p.m., allowing fans the chance to check out the Sea-Doos, pruning materials and boats before basketball.

Many, like Jerry Watson, decided to get downtown early to take in both events. “We're coming down to the Creighton game and my wife and I are interested in finding a boat for this spring, so we kind of put two into one and then head to the Creighton game.”

Although Watson didn't buy a boat, there's no question which event he was most excited about. “I wish I could say the boat show, but they're brand new and they're too expensive, so go Creighton!”

Randy Brungardt and son Cooper are Creighton season-ticket holders also interested in the outdoors. “He wanted to do the archery stuff so we got that out of the way. We're pretty excited to go over and see how Creighton does against Xavier.”

The Omaha Boat Sports and Travel Show ended Sunday. Creighton’s next home game is Tuesday night against Butler.
