Council Bluffs residents are advised to watch their water consumption. A voluntary water restriction is in effect.
City Councilwoman Melissa Head says residents are asked to avoid watering their lawns between 10 am & 5 pm.
Homeowners living at odd-numbered addresses are also asked to water on odd days - vice versa for even-numbered addresses.
The goal is to prevent the need for mandatory restrictions. City leaders also want to ensure there is enough water available for emergencies.
