Blessing of the Animals
In conjunction with the Feast of St. Francis, First Central Congregational United Church of Christ will hold its third annual Blessing of the Animals.
It will take place on Saturday, October 6st, at 11:00 AM on the south patio of the church located at 421 South 36th Street.
The public – and their pets – are invited to attend a brief service of blessing.
“We are excited to bring this event to our neighborhood again this year,” notes Rev. Scott Jones, Senior Minister. “This neighborhood enjoys opportunities for fun and getting to know one another.
Seniors bring their pets and interact with families full of children. We are happy to provide this opportunity for our neighbors.”
First Central Congregational UCC is an open and affirming church community which is open to all people.
