On April 27, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Blair Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its sixth opportunity in three years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.

Bring your medications for disposal to the Blair Police Department at 1730 Lincoln St. in Blair, NE. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Last year the Blair Police Department recovered 126 pounds of prescription medication during drug take-back events. Throughout the year, BPD accepts prescription medication through our drop-off box located in our lobby.

Last year citizens anonymously left 242 doses of Oxycontin, 2183 doses of controlled substances and nearly 75,000 doses of other prescription medication.
