Black Ice Accident

Black Ice was a factor in an early morning crash Tuesday.

The Cassgram reports Cass County Sheriff William C. Brueggemann advised that deputies along with Murray Fire and Rescue personnel responded to Highway 75, north of East McKelvie Road, for a one vehicle accident with air bag deployment.

Just after 5am, a southbound 2008 GMC Sierra K1500 went out of control, left the roadway and entered the ditch, striking several trees. The driver, a 40-year-old Omaha woman, refused rescue transport.

Omaha media reports said there were numerous accidents this morning due to slick conditions in Sarpy and Douglas counties.
