Billy Elliot: The Musical is in the middle of a six-day run at Omaha's Orpheum Theater. The play is about a young boy following his dreams despite what everyone else thinks.

Two of the stars visited St. Cecilia students Thursday morning to tell them about the show and to teach them some dance steps. Billy Elliot’s father and brother want him to become a boxer, but Billy falls in love with dance.

“I think it is really important for kids to understand that there is a place to go," said Kylend Hetherington. "If you have that passion there is something you can do about it, you can go somewhere with it.”

The performers also talked about the commitment necessary to be with a traveling show. “I love it, I love seeing each place that we go to and getting to see everything in that city and I love performing so much, it’s incredible," said Noah Parets.

The students also received a quick lesson on how to do the “Billy Elliot Jump” and got to experience it for themselves.
