If passed as introduced the bill would have all assets in the Learning Community be handed over to the State Board of Education. The board of education would then redistribute the assets to the eleven school districts that make up the Learning Community.
Any funds would be redistributed to each school district in proportion to the taxable valuations.
The bill was introduced by newly elected Senator Bill Kintner, along with three other state senators from Sarpy County; John Murante, Scott Price and Jim Smith.
