Scratch Off Lottery theft could lead to possible jail time.
Sentencing is October 11th for a 26-year-old Plattsmouth man on a Class I Misdemeanor theft charge. Antonio K. Fujikawa had originally been charged with felony theft but agreed to enter the guilty plea to the misdemeanor and has made $2500 in restitution payments.
The victims were Lucky’s convenience store and the Nebraska Lottery, Chief Deputy Cass County Attorney Colin Palm told the Cassgram.
The scheme involving scratch off tickets evolved over several months in 2008 and 2009. Tickets had been taken from the store and winning tickets had been cashed, said Palm. Fujikawa was employed at the store. Plattsmouth Police investigated.
