A man and a woman were arrested after nearly one million dollars worth of marijuana was found inside their semi-tractor trailer Friday near I-80 & L Street.
Around 11:30, a Douglas County Sheriff's Office K9 Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on a loaded semi-tractor and trailer.
The driver, Pick Ing, 52, was enroute to Minnesota with a load of ATV accessories. During the stop, the Deputy detected the odor of marijuana from inside the semi-tractor.
Inside, the deputy found 230 lbs. of packaged marijuana in the cab. Ing and his passenger, Narath Khath, 41, were both arrested and booked on Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver and No Tax Stamp charges.
The high grade marijuana has an estimated street value of over $1 million.
