Because of the addition of Collin Field for the South High Packers and Seeman Stadium for the Central Eagles Berquist Stadium located at Norris Middle School is no longer needed.

But there are no plans to mothball Berquist. In fact, $2.3 million is being spent to upgrade and renovate the stadium.

Berquist will get a new artificial field and track and be converted to a soccer only facility.

Crews have already started working to convert the facility and should be done in August.

$2 million of the $2.3 million budget for the renovation were donated funds. OPS wants to thank everyone who donated money for the project.
