Here's a chance to help out a neighbor whose been looking out for you for more than a decade.
A fund-raising event is scheduled for Sunday, February 23 as a benefit for Omaha Police Detective Jeff Kozeny and his family.
Last September, the 12-year-veteran of the Omaha Police Force and a detective in the Special Victims Unit, suffered two seizures. He was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. Subsequent treatment has included two major surgeries at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Sunday's benefit dinner is scheduled to help Jeff's family cover mounting expenses.
According to event organizers, hundreds of raffle and auction items have been collected. They include Husker tickets, Creighton Bluejay tickets, condo rental in Colorado and the Ozarks, autographed footballs from Bo Pelini and former Husker kicker Alex Henry.
Here are the details.
