Benefit To Be Held For Omaha Firefighter Battling Cancer

Instead of fighting fires, an Omaha firefighter is fighting for his life after being diagnosed with Metastic Melanoma. Firefighter Jeff Holdsworth has already had 3 surgeries to remove tumors, two of which in the last 7 months. He was first diagnosed in 2008.

Holdsworth is married with four children. In an effort to help the family with the mounting medical bills, a fundraiser has been set for Sunday, October 28th.

Holdsworth's oldest son is part of the Millard Knights baseball team. To show support and raise funds, the team dedicated their 2012 season to Jeff and his fight. The team won their first Omaha tournament and dedicated it to Holdsworth.
