Bicyclist Hit By Car
A 12-year-old boy was hospitalized Thursday after being hit by a car. Police said it was an accident and the driver will not be cited.
It happened at 32nd and Chandler in Bellevue around 7:30 a.m. Officers said the chain on the boy's bicycle broke, causing him to lose control and ride into the street. The driver wasn't able to stop and hit the boy with the front, right side of her car.
The boy was taken to Bellevue Medical Center with a knot on his head and a bruised leg. He is expected to recover.
