Bellevue Police Help Kids Shop For Christmas|Stop Shoplifters In Action

Two people were arrested Monday night for shoplifting during a Shop with a Cop event in Bellevue.

Nearly 20 Bellevue police officers, as well as, firefighters, officials, and Santa were helping children shop for Christmas at the Shopko, on Galvin Road, when two suspects were allegedly caught on camera removing tags and hiding clothes. According to police, the suspects stole just under $700 worth of merchandise.

Both were arrested at the store for felony shoplifting. They are identified as 29-year-old Joshua Watson and 30-year-old Shantel Nigh.

Police said a large amount of other items was found in the couple's vehicle, which police believe may be stolen as well.
