The campus bedbug problem is not only confined to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Bedbugs have also been found in two residence hall rooms at Chadron State College.
College housing director Sherri Simons says it's believed that only two rooms are affected. Students have been moved out of the rooms, their mattresses destroyed and all clothing is being washed thoroughly. Extermination procedures are underway.
The bugs are a nuisance, but experts say they don't carry diseases. UNL has been contending with bedbugs in dorm rooms and other areas over the past several weeks.
