A Lincoln man is facing more than 30 years in custody for a string of bank robberies that stretched from Nebraska’s Capital City, through Omaha and into Council Bluffs - seven robberies in all.
Fifty-three-year-old Cameron Mitchell had pleaded guilty to the robberies that took place between June 23 and August 24 of 2012.
Authorities say he would walk into the banks armed with a handgun, jump over the counters and take money from teller drawers.
Following completion of his 370 month sentence, Mitchell faces five years of supervised release. In addition, he’s been ordered to pay restitution to the banks in the amount of $74,179.73.
