Bald Eagles at Pacific Junction

Motorists on Interstate 29 got to see a spectacular show of wildlife Monday. Dozens of Bald Eagles, by some counts over a hundred, filled the trees at the Pacific Junction Wildlife Area.

Jim Deitchler of Glenwood was on hand with his camera. Deitchler said, "this is unbelievable, totally unbelievable, I've never seen them like this before"

Jerad Getter of the Mills County Conservation Board said ""it's pretty impressive, we usually don't see them like this. We have a few nests in Mills County that are actually used every year but you don't see congregations like this in Mills County of bald eagles".

The pacific Junction Wildlife Area is on the West side of Interstate 29 just South of the Glenwood exit.
