The man told the driver to take him to 72nd and Sorenson. But when they arrived, "Next thing I know I felt a gun to the back of my head," said Don Vanderwerf, Cab Driver.
Trying to stay calm, Vanderwerf followed handed over cash, his wallet and then was told to get into the trunk of the car.
"I had my head up against here, my feet over here," said Vanderwerf.
The suspect drove the vehicle to 82nd and Read, let the driver out of the trunk, and robbed him of cash and personal belongings. The crook drove off and left the cabbie behind, unharmed. The vehicle was later recovered near 79th and Read.
