An audit raises concerns about Omaha's Housing Authority.
Some of the findings include that more than $2.5 Million in federal funds were improperly taken from some accounts to help cover other costs. Auditors say they found a "pattern of conflict of interest violations."
City Councilman Ben Gray serves on the board. He says they knew there were issues. "We knew there was a problem," said Councilman Gray. "We knew that funds were misappropriated. We knew that there were questionable activities that went on during that period of time. We want to know where the money went."
This isn't the final audit, just an early report. The paperwork calls the findings of the conflict of interest section, sensitive. This early report did not go into detail.
