Auction To Be Held Benefits Boys Town National Hotline

The Southwest Omaha Rotary Night Club will host its 4th Annual Fine Wine and Hors d’oeuvres tasting and silent auction Thursday.

The event will be held at The Club at Indian Creek in Elkhorn to benefit the Boys Town National Hotline.

Parents who call the hotline can ask for simple parenting assistance with a toddler or get advice for dealing with a teen that’s in trouble. Meanwhile, kids can call as well if they’re having suicidal thoughts, trouble in school or being bullied. It’s a unique service that is free to the callers, but does need funding in order to help kids and families.

Over the past 20 years, the Boys Town National Hotline has helped more than 8 million teen, parents and families. The hotline is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is staffed with specially trained Boys Town counselors.

The evening will begin with a silent auction at 6:30 p.m. during which wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Following the silent auction, guests will have the opportunity to learn more about the Boys Town National Hotline before the live auction begins at 8:30 p.m.
